A Farmhouse for Gatheri

This kitchen remodel was designed to preserve the home’s original farmhouse character while introducing modern functionality for a family that frequently gathers and entertains here throughout the year. The goal was to create a space that felt timeless and authentic, as though the cabinetry had always been part of the home. Inset Lancaster cabinetrywith distressing and custom finishes were carefully selected to achieve a warm, lived-in aesthetic rooted in tradition. At the same time, the layout was reworked to improve storage and everyday efficiency. Deeper cabinetry facingthe dining room adds valuable storage, while previously unused space now accommodates oversized chargers and entertaining pieces. To maintain visual balance, armoire-like cabinetry frames the 48-inch Wolf gas range, establishing the kitchen’s strong focal point.Integrated refrigeration blends seamlessly into the design, while a shallow pantry keeps spices and everyday essentials conveniently within reach without disrupting the kitchen’s classic farmhouse appeal.
