When the 4th Annual Show House residence on beautiful South Flagler Drive in Palm Beach was selected by Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club, a unique opportunity for design transformation officially began. Locally-based, Willoughby Construction lead the way in producing this extraordinary Palm Beach Show House along with the 20 talented interior designers who each created a luxurious room vision.

Atlanta-based interior designer Mark Williams of Mark Williams Design was assigned the kitchen space and looking for the right custom cabinetry partner for his modern kitchen design. Bentwood Luxury Kitchens was excited to jump aboard with Mark as an event sponsor to bring this essential space to life!

The entire Show House design story was covered by media sponsor Veranda Magazine and promoted by Sharp Think PR through multiple platforms. Their marketing efforts greatly contributed to this year’s very successful event! Proceeds benefitted the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club organization and Boys and Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County.

A Modern Kitchen for the Palm Beach Lifestyle

The show house vision was re-imagining this Mediterranean villa for today’s luxury living. This included 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 30ft atrium ceilings, and breathtaking intercoastal views.

For the modern kitchen, the integrated design was key, allowing for a clean, uncomplicated style that was still far from ordinary. Mark Williams collaborated with the Bentwood team to design a custom door style, with beveled edge detail and channel construction, creating our new Vaughan Door style.

Well-appointed cabinetry accessories made great use of the space, keeping function and luxury in mind. The Modern Kitchen was a huge success with high praise received from guests, the press, and industry professionals.

In fact, the Mark Williams Design team received a Gold Design Excellence Award from the ASID Georgia chapter for the winning design in the Residential Renovation category.

Sophisticated Modern Material Palette

Elegant materials and finishes reflected the Palm Beach theme and complimented the existing terracotta flooring. Bentwood custom cabinetry was selected in rift-cut white oak with a soft “Seagrass” finish to show off the beauty of natural wood.  Dekton™ countertops in “Aura” from the natural collection in matte finish gave a soft contrast and level of luxury, as well as the Benjamin Moore wall paint color in “Swiss Coffee.”  Vibrant Fireclay tile dressed up the walls, adding a modern texture element. The statement artwork by Mona Kuhn adds the allure to draw you into the space. Wow!

The Essential Kitchen Island

On the large kitchen island, the home cook has the perfect space to work and visit with guests. The Kohler Stages™ sink adds extra function to the workspace in this compact design.

The integrated Monogram dishwasher is conveniently located near the sink with a custom cabinetry panel keeping to the linear design when not in use.  The modern lighting provided by Currey & Company adds a dose of fun to the space.

Raising the Bar

Speaking of fun, the bar nook is the perfect place for serving kitchen guests as well as those enjoying the outside patio and garden area.

The statement Fireclay tile grounds the designed space and Fromental wallpaper detail in the arch just make us smile.

With the integrated Monogram refrigeration drawers, you are sure to stay hydrated and have a convenient place to keep your favorite beverages on hand.

Elevating with Monogram Luxury Appliances

For the kitchen work zone, Monogram has it covered with top-performing modern appliances that are gorgeous and professional-grade.  The show house’s modern kitchen is decked out with an induction cooktop, hood ventilator, stacked ovens, and serious column refrigerator and freezer.

We love the statement hardware on the panel-ready column refrigerator & freezer by Myoh studio for its beautiful detail and functionality. This kitchen may inspire homeowners to cook more with Monogram’s elevated features and smart technology.
