There are many material choices when it comes to custom cabinetry for your home project. Historically, the most popular choice is white painted cabinetry and is featured on nearly every home improvement reality show, but there is so much more to explore! At Bentwood Luxury Kitchens, we offer a wide range of premium choices for natural wood cabinetry with stain and finish options that are luxurious, designer approved, and will enhance the value of your home.
Below are some of our favorite projects showing off beautiful woods in a variety of finishes that feature ‘Exclusively Bentwood’ product and may just give new inspiration for your own project.
Walnut- Natural Finish
This Dallas kitchen is a great example of how fresh natural finished walnut and white look together. The flat cut walnut custom cabinetry and custom matching island countertop add warmth and interest to this contemporary remodel. Walnut is a luxury material, and in natural finish, allows the beauty of the wood to show through. With a nod to Mid Century Modern style, it is a perfect choice for contemporary projects and blends well with other wood finishes.
How about some extra storage? Matching floating shelves above walnut base cabinetry look modern against sculpted 3D tiles in the Bar Area. Integrated LED lighting adds function, convenience, and high style to this secondary work area.
Rift Cut White Oak- Dark Finish
Rift Cut White Oak is a very straight grain wood that takes stain well and looks equally great in light, natural and dark stain finishes. This featured Chicago kitchen shows how nicely dark, handsome cabinetry can take on a contemporary appeal when paired with mirror polish stainless steel and premium marble.
This transitional bar area that flows from the formal dining room into the kitchen looks as if it were part of the original home and makes great use of a linear floor plan.
Rift Cut White Oak- Natural Finish
Our Houston project shows how inviting Rift Cut White Oak in a natural finish looks. The contrasting light colors of countertop & splash, flooring, and decorative ceiling perfectly highlight the bespoke cabinetry.
This Houston City view looks even more amazing surrounded by custom millwork in the dining area. It is easy to see why this project won the ‘ASID Ruby Award’ for ‘Best Use of Material’.
Specialty veneers like mustard wood are made from desirable parts of large trees, or exotic smaller diameter trees. Veneers are hand-selected, grain matched, then stitched together to create premium wood materials for custom furniture, including cabinetry. The range of finishes include natural to dark spectrum and represent true luxury details.
We love the dramatic look that mustard wood cabinetry adds to our bar wall display at Bentwood of Chicago. Walnut floating shelves with integrated lighting and custom walnut countertop make for the luxury bar scene. And finally, custom shagreen hide backsplash tiles, set the mood that something extra special will be served up here. Cheers to that!

Things to Consider When Ordering Premium Wood Cabinetry:

- Ask your cabinet manufacturer about product warranties, use and care guidelines, and who to contact if you need any replacements.
