We all love the dramatic Before and After remodel projects that provide New Year inspiration.

Both of these projects have a special meaning to us; these are repeat clients who have an established relationship with their Bentwood Kitchen Designers who understand the task at hand.

At Bentwood Luxury Kitchens this is what we love to hear, and the testimonials spur us on every day! The number one factor was these clients love to cook and entertain, it is part of their lifestyle, and we embrace that.

Each project is different, but the clients are the same.

The Social Kitchen Environment

For this Austin Remodel Project, there were many decisions to make, but opening up walls to be more social was a guiding factor.  Kitchen Designer, Shawna Roorda of Bentwood of Houston, Interior Designer, Lindsey Jones of Blueberry Jones Design, and Builder Matt Vitek of Vitek McIver all agreed

Taking down the wall between the kitchen and living room allowed for a furniture buffet island with full circulation.  This island anchors the kitchen area while transitioning into the living area.

Working Kitchen Area Seats Family of Four

Sitting at the kitchen island was essential when it came to mealtime and golden conversation moments.  Here the island was configured to seat the family as well as provide valuable workspace.

The Beverage and Bar Area

When entertaining, the existing bar and silver closet area were reimagined to accommodate a full range of beverage options.

Double beer taps, ice maker, and refrigerator allow guests to help themselves without having to visit the kitchen area.

Cabinetry Materials Allow Art Collection to be the Focus

The Biltmore door style in mahogany wood with “antique bronze” stain celebrates the new finishes used on the existing floors and ceiling beams.  The remaining custom cabinetry paint is elegant and quiet to let the art collection shine.

Rustic black hardware, hood, and lighting fixtures all work together to create that updated look.  Natural quartzite stone countertops provide just the right amount of drama to shine through.

Mountain Vacation Home–Duplicate My Luxury Appliances

For this Steamboat, Colorado remodel project, the clients wanted to have the same luxury appliances as their primary home Steve Karp of Bentwood of Chicago, understood the client’s desire for convenience and flexibility to cook or not When you’re on vacation, sometimes you just want to enjoy family time especially when it involves skiing!

The kitchen island is the social place to be, so enlarging this island to accommodate more seating was perfectThe custom walnut countertop on the guest side complements the interior furnishings.
